Dynamac Awarded Blanket Purchasing Agreement with USDA

Dynamac is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) to provide Program Studies Related to Food Safety to the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS), located in Washington, DC.  Georgeann Morekas, Vice President Operations, will manage and support this $20M, 5-year program. 

 

Tasks awarded to Dynamac may fall under any of six categories:

  • Studies and data analyses, which assess: (1) the feasibility of proposed changes to FSIS programs; (2) the effectiveness of existing programs; and (3) the reliability or usefulness of data and databases that report on the quality and safety of meat, poultry and egg products;
  • Projects testing the feasibility or effectiveness of changes in program operations;
  • Projects assessing the risks of foodborne pathogens, chemical residues, and/or physical hazards and the effectiveness of interventions in reducing these risks;
  • Surveys or focus groups, in compliance with OMB paperwork burden requirements, to obtain information from Agency personnel, industry, consumer groups, academic community, and the public about industry practices and current or planned Agency initiatives;
  • Studies concerning: (1) the economic impact or costs and benefits of regulatory and policy options; (2) information needs and data development; (3) risk management decision-making; or (4) the structure of the meat, poultry and egg product industries; or
  • Development and facilitation of food defense and emergency response exercises and conduct of vulnerability assessments of food systems.
